M. 24-12-1857 at Union , Pennsylvania to Mary Christina Van Hoesen B.19-5-1838 Rural Union, Tioga Co. Pennsylvania,. daughter of Richard Vandenburg Van Hosen & Rachel Jemina Van Hoesen . they were married at the home of R.V. Van Hoesen

Ogilvie D. 19-9-1914 at Turin , Iowa , Mary D. 10-12-1915 at the home of her daughter Myra in Onawa, Iowa Both buried in the Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa

Came to Iowa in 1867 to Castana , Iowa in 1870 later to Belvidere at Turin , Iowa

The trip to Iowa was a difficult decision to leave family in the east but hey too came for better farm land and marveled how the terrain was so similar but so much more fertile and minus the rocks. Mr. Morse was a learned man and prosperous farmer and highly respected in the community. He was in the political field as well and served western Iowa very well. His fine stock was known for miles around and by rail he shipped out many a car load of pigs and cattle. There home was of the style of most Dutch houses of the east. And many parties and entertaining was enjoyed by every one.

Edward Ogilvie B. 6-2-1863 in Union Co, Penn. M. 20-4-1864 to Mary (Molly) Rebecca Bristow B. 13-3-1864 in Indiana daughter of John and Rebecca Wade Bristow. Mary was deceased in So. Dakota. Edward in Wyoming .

John James 16-4-1898 married Lillian ? had 6 children lived Detroit , Mich. John died 12-1-1973 at Detroit , Mich.

Newton B. B.20-3-1900 M. Lelia Hert, Children Harry and Patricia . Newton died13-7-1960 in Wyoming .

Helen Louise B. 4-8-1902 Married ? Ketelson Helen passedaway 17-4-1965 in California She had been in Wyoming too.

3. Ernest Elmer B. 25-5-1865 Tioga Co. Penn M. 12-9-1889 at Palmyra, Ia. Warren Co. To Sarah Lillian Talboy B. 8-8-1879 at Palmyra daughter of Benjamin & Martha Talboy. Ernest died 4-1-1944 at Onawa, Iowa buried Belvidere Cemetery at Turin, Iowa, Lillian on 11-10-1946 at Onawa and buried Turin.

Ernest taught school in 1882 in the vicinity of Soldier, Iowa . Later operated a store with his father and was Postmaster in old town of Belvidere and also farmed. In 1919 he started an implement store in Onawa.

ISSUE

A. Fannie11-7- ? M. 7-6- !916 At the home of her parents to Ernest S. Smith B. 29-6-1889 at Point Pleasant, West Virginia the son of William and Alice Tillis Smith.

Fannie passed away at Ernest passed away in Sioux City 1-8-1949 both are buried at the Belvidere Cemetery at Turin, Iowa. Monona Co.

Ernest was a lifelong farmer and Fannie taught school for many years. Their children were Morse who married Doris Kadlub, lived onawa, Marjorie Jane who married John Kinsfather lived Lebanon 7 Portland Oregon, and Dorothy who married Frank J. Harnish lived Gray's Lake Ill. All three children were teachers.

B. Eva Married Dr. James Henry Talboy B. 14-12- 1860 came as a child from England later Conneticut Married Eva August of 1925 at Weisner, Idaho His paents being Benjamin and Martha Garner Talboy. Dr. Talboy passed away in Poquete , Panama Canal Zone . They had one son James Henry Talboy

C Eugene Married Olive Elizabeth Leff on 12-3-1925 she was born in Dickson, So. Dak. on 14-5-1905 , daughter of Albert and Ida Samson Leff. Olive passed away 11-2-1930 at Turin , Iowa , had the flu and developed complication of pneumonia. Buried at the Belvidere Cemetery at Turin . Their children were Marjorie Jane 1926, Robert Eugene 1928, Richard Allen 1930, five days old at mother's death.

E Martha Morse married Fredrick Harjes born 17-2-1891 at Juniata,Ne. Martha & Fredrick joined at Turin , Iowa on 2-9-1925. He died Sept of 1956 at Nissua , Minnesota , buried at Crew Wing Memorial Garden Cemetery Their children were : Fredrick Bruce, Howard, Henry, Gerald Vernon, David Paul, Louise who married Richard Sykora of Stenden Minn. & Mary. Other towns mentioned Moorhead , Duluth , both in Minn.

F. Rex Ogilvie Morse B. 14-7-1890 Turin, Iowa Monona Co. M. on 2-2-1919 to Hattie Victoria Struble daughter of Thomas & Clara Struble she was born 31-8-1891 in Minnesota she died 10-8-1942 at Lusk Wyoming buried Lusk Cemetery Niobrara Co. In 1947 Rex married Mildred Wise Patridge born 25-12-1900 at Whiting Iowa.

Children of Rex and Hattie were: Daniel Vose 1916, Clara Lillian 21-1-1915 married Darrell Corbett, Ronald Thomas 16-6-1920, Betty Eileen 31-12-1923 married Richard Hunter, Donnabelle Marie 1 11-1928 married Raymond Murphy.

8. Margaret Myrtle (Maggie) B. 30-3-1871 at Turin , Iowa M. John Newton Bristow. B. 4-4-1868 in Cannelton , Indiana on 30-5-1887 on the farm at Turin , Iowa . In 1920 they removed to Inglewood , ca. There John died 16-4-1938, Maggie 24-3-1950 both buried at Ingelwood Cemetery , Ca.

Children were Glen Orin 1908 married Helen Sheaman, Clausse Anton 1910 married Margurite Gregg, Julius Newton 1911 married Mary Rumney, Harold 1913 Infant death, Paul Elmer 1914, married Edith Skinner, Sister Girl 1915. Almer Vern 1917 Harold and Baby Girl are buried at Belvidere cemetery at Turin , Iowa

B. Barbara Etta B.7-2-1891 at Turin , Ia. M. Leroy P. Davidson B.28-10-1889 at Whiting, Ia. Son of Hiram & Elizabeth Anderson Davidson. Barb and Leroy were married and raised Melvin Bristow Hunt 1908 Their child was Harold Raymond Davidson 1916 Barbara died 1957 at Alhambra , Ca. buried Rose Hill Memorial park Cemetery

C. William Morse B. 1-9-1892 Turin, Ia Monona Co. son of John Newton and Maggie Morse Bristow, M. 8-8-1914 at Lemars, Ia to Kathryn Isabelle Wagner B.13-5-1893 Belvidere Twsp. Monona Co. daughter of Hans and Emma Stanton Wagner.

Bill served in WW1, later homesteded in Wyoming and later removing to Washington State where he worked as security at a State Prison until he retired. Kate desired to be a nurse worked for Dr. Talboy prior to marriage. Kate passed away 6-5-1977, Bill on 18-4-1965 both buried in Garden Chapel Mountain View, Steilacoom , Washington .

Their children being: Thomas Newton, 1915, Ruth Lucille, 1916, married Belden Allredge, William Morse Jr. & Charles Elmer, 1917 All Washington State

D, Thomas Newton B. 21-5-1896 to 14-5-1911 drowned as boat capsized at Blue Lake , near Onawa , Ia. 15 years of age.

E. Myra Agnes B. 7-2-1903 married Ezra Taylor Craven lived Alahambra, Ca. in 1977

F. Frances Evelyn B. 1-1-1906 married a man with the last name of Trenary. She too was in Alahambra Ca. in 1977

9. Myra Melissa B. 25-9-1875 at Turin Ia. P.O. Castana , Ia M. 26-9-1901 at Turin , Ia to. William M. Rowles B. 29-10-1855 at Prarie City Ia. Jasper Co son of Nickolus & Charlotte Helphry Rowles.. Billie, as he was called, was quite the entrepreneur, he was also state Representative in 1915 for two terms. His business ventures required much backing and not always successful . Billie passed away 28-9-1934 in Los Angeles , Ca. He is buried there also. His son Walter by a former marriage made his home with them until of age.

Myra graduated from the Onawa High School in 1892 attended Northwestern U. of Evanston, Ill. Where she majored in music until May of 1895. She then entered Castana Normal school living at Hokomok Hall and graduating May19, 1899. She then taught music at Little Sioux in 1900, gave voice an piano lessons in the Onawa area. Myra had a lovely soprano voice and gave many programs in the area. She passed away 15-9-1953 in Whiting Ia. At the home of her daughter Alice Brown. Myra 's mother made a beautiful old scrap book of relatives from out East with pictures and the written word by many, hence the ability to trace many of the people here in. and Alice kept it until her death and now is in the Onawa Historical Museum . She is buried at the belvedere Cemetery at Turin , Ia.

ISSUE

A. Ellanor Alice B. 13-3-1904 at Turin , Iowa M. 7-6-1930 in Onawa to Gaylord McKim Brown, nicknamed "SMOKE" son of William G. & Cora McKim Brown Smoke was B. 7-6-1896 at Whiting Iowa, died there 15-9-1973 and buried in the Whiting Cemetery . Smoke was a highly respected citizen in the community and served as Commander of Veterans affairs for the area.

Alice passed away at Ames , Ia on 16-9-1993 and buried at Whiting Ia. No issue

B. Margaret June B. 4-4-1906 Married first Arthur Glau in 1924, they divorced then James McQuarrie who passed away in 1949 at Venice , Ca. She then married Charles Lundgrien, a Garret Air Reserve Accountant. Margaret owned an operated apartment buildings in Ca. She passed away in 1971 and is buried in Los Angeles . No issue

C. Howard Bailey B. 8-11-1911 married a lady by the name of Elva, had issue named William Howard B. 18-3- 1939 at Los Angeles , Ca. He passed away in 1986 in Montazuma , New Mexico and is buried there. Howard Bailey married Frances Glissen in 1957. Hid life work was Dairy farm employee, he passed away 26-5-1992 at Abita Springs, Louisiana Howard's body was donated toTulane U. School of Med.
