Asem Eddy came from Eaton N Y, Madison Co. To Hornby in 1833, had the first Grist mill there on Dry Run Creek about 1 mile above Hornby Forks (later just called Hornby). Eddy later ran a printing shop 1856-1873. Then editor and proprietor of Alleghany Democrat at Wellsville N.Y. Later a mercantile store at Hornby in 1875 and lived there, his house being worth 600.00 He did a genealogical study in 1881 on the Eddy's.

unmarried. wrote Poetry. She and her sister Helen were school teachers in Newark, NJ. Their mother (Helen) passed away in their home. 1910 records show them teaching in Kearny NJ.
(2.) Wayne Carlyle B. 14-10-1873 Hornby, New York, Stueben Co M. Ruth Irma Stanton 14-12-1898 at Corning N.Y. at the Stanton home. Ruth Stanton B. 25-4-1881 was the daughter of Freeman Stanton and Fannie Knapp Stanton . Wayne passed away 27-9-1905 at the Corning Hospital after a train accident where the caboose he was sleeping in was rammed by another train. He was an engineer had also helped in the mercantile business and town clerk of Hornby.
Ruth took the money from her husband's death benefit and enrolled in nurses training and entered nurses training at Corning. As a nurse, she became widely- known and respected.
Their only child Myron Carlyle was B. 6-11-1900 at Hornby N.Y. M. 14-12-1919 at Painted post, N.Y. to Florence Irma Balcom B. 6-10-1899 at Painted Post N.Y. daughter of Harry & Minnie I. Hare Balcom. Myron & Florence divorced 7-12-1940
Ruth remarried to Charles Jimerson on 18-1-1918, he passed away from suicide in 1939.
Ruth passed away 13-8-1970 at Corning N.Y., she and Wayne are both buried in Central Valley Cemetery at Hornby
Myron passed away 11-7-1970 at Bath , N.Y. Buried Central Valley Cemetery , Hornby
Florence passed away 25-6-1972 at Elmira , N.Y. buried in Cooper Plains , N.Y.

Lawrence passed away 30-1-1960 buried at Central Valley Cemetery at Hornby , N.Y. Alma was
a resident of Florida in 1981
