LANA VAN BUSKIRK AND GARRIT VAN HOESEN
Lana Van Buskirk was born February 9, 1794 at Athens, New York, baptized September 14, 1794, and died August 31, 1863 at Preble, New York. On May 23, 1811 at Tully New York, she married Garrit Van Hoesen, born at Katskill, New York, December 31, 1791. Garrit died September 30, 1860, also at Preble, and both are buried at Elmwood Cemetery.

Rachael Jemima Van Hoesen married Richard Vandenburg Van Hoesen, born June 25, 1813 at Loonenburg, Greene County, New York, on January 1, 1837. He died July 2, 1894 at Hornby Forks, New York. His parents were Jerimiah Van Hoesen and Christina Vandenburg. Rachael died August 15, 1883,also at Hornby Forks, and both are buried at the Central Valley Cemetery.
Children of Rachael Jemima Van Hoesen and Richard Vandenburg Van Hoesen:
1. Mary Christina, born 1838. Married Oglivia Morse. Moved to Turin Iowa.
2. Helen Delano, born 1842. Married ( ) Eddy. Lived in the Hornby area.
3. Angelina Edith, born 1848. Married Andrew J, Dann. Lived in the Hornby area of Steuben County, Schuyler County, and Elmira City.
4. Melissa Ann, born 1850. Married Lawson Jay Stanton and moved to Turin Iowa.
5. Freddie, born May 5, 1858 and died March 12, 1862. Buried with his parents.
The Stanton family followed the Morse family to Iowa, both to escape the "damn rocks" that filled the fields in the Town of Hornby.
